in keeping with the tradition of updating this blog at least once a month i present a couple of work that will be in my portfolio which i will be finishing up by the end of the month...anyways enjoy
so just finished another term and thought i post up the work i did in the class (at least the ones that are worth showing off)...they're not all finished but most of them are at a good point...i will eventually color the butcher character and post that up...well until next time enjoy!
been working on this baby for quite some time now for class...this was quite the challenging assignment for me since i rarely ever do tight line drawings even though this can't really be counted as "tight"...actually having to start a design by drawing on tracing paper and griding out the perspective was a real time suck but really made me slow down and think about design first...can't say i would enjoy doing this all the time but it's a good change up from what i usually do...anyways here's the photoshop lines and the final render
for conceptart.org's character of the week challenge...#200 which means a new mascot/queen the topic is to design a new queen/king of some genre of music...chose hip hop cause it's all around me in SoCal
this was done for the cghub.com drawing jam challenge celebrating the life and work of Frank Frazetta perhaps one of the greatest illustrators of our time...no words can describe his influence in the art field and the amount of doors he opened for future generations to also create art for a living...thank you sir the world will surely miss you
for conceptart.org's industrial design challenge the topic: concept bike 2017 doesn't really feel that way but this was still a good exercise to help with my horrid industrial design skills...the rendering part was definitely a learning process...i pretty much stared at the image for 2 hours not knowing where to even start
did this for the creature planet challenge on cghub.com i was trying to do something more serious but a few accidental strokes on the line drawing lead to this little creation...
